So anyway. I am your new Ares/Hugh Jackman, Greek god of bloodlust/war. I know next to nothing about IJ but I've been on LJ for a while and it looks mostly the same, so I'm sure I can cope. It's not my first time RPing but it would be my first non-anime/non-fandom based one on LJ/IJ-type RP. My English can also be lacking sometimes, so guidance and patience would be appreciated.

Hello, Jess again! I promised myself no more Greeks, really I did, but this one just wouldn't leave me alone.

This is Lethe, the Greek goddess of forgetfulness and oblivion and of the Underworld river of the same name. In legend, every dead soul that passed into the Underworld was required to drink her water, which would cause them to forget their earthly life. (Ironically, she herself remembers everything.)

To mortals, Lethe is completely forgettable. You can study every inch of her face, hang off her every word until you feel as though she's burned into your brain, but turn away and you'll never be able to hold those details in your memory for long. Gods and immortals tend to be able to see through this, and mortals suffering from conditions that affect the memory such as dementia and amnesia tend to be more sensitive to her. Perhaps partly for this reason, Lethe works as a carer in a nursing home.

Always up for plotting, so feel free to give me a nudge.

After a few centuries of kicking it around on the North American continent, Jörmungandr's become a little pissy. All that exploring and filling out of maps and mass communication has kind of gotten to him in recent decades, what with there being few boundaries on the world anymore (and even fewer believers for him). He's not a very happy person.

Fortunately, there's a living to be made in professional diving; and under the water is just how Jörmungandr likes things. He's easily irritated by others, though, which means he's a little unhappy with being a diving instructor.

Really, there's not a whole lot that he's very happy about.

Maybe mead, but they just don't make it like they used to.

The photography thing could probably last him a few more centuries, but he's so pissed off about the Internet and cell phones that he'd like to stir up some chaos and destruction in the old-fashioned Ragnarök way. He kind of needs the help of his siblings for that, though, and he doesn't know where the hell either of them currently are (not that he's really done much looking, though).

As for me? I'm Sam, and I'm a new player to this game. This is only my third journal-based game, so I'm still trying to get used to it, but I mostly have the hang of the basics. I look forward to playing!

Calling all my brothers and sisters! There will be a party/family reunion/whatever you want to call it at my shop starting at noon this Friday. It will last the weekend, at the very least. Trip, try to bring enough of your shit to last us at least a few days. Miss Candy, we'll need your specialty as well. Speedy, Shroomie, Needles, Snow, everyone else... bring all you can. Pot, brownies, munchies, beer and hash oil are all on me. Should we invite Alkie and Smoky? Society doesn't accept them as true drugs, for the most part, but I suppose I shouldn't leave anyone out. I'll invite my mortal friends on Saturday so we can all get a nice boost. If anyone not part of our little family wants to come, just let me know. The more, the merrier.

It'd be nice if you guys could RSVP, but not entirely necessary. I know most of you wouldn't think of missing this.

Ciao! It's Cassie (yet again) bringing my third character, Methamphetamine, better known as Speed or Speedy or Meth, etc. His journal doesn't having posting abilities just yet but it's crankit and feel free to check it out XD

Anywho, Speed is a fluffy ball of energy and he's always bouncing from one thing to another. He just moved to NYC and plays music for money when he needs to. He pretty much loves everyone. Again, really shallow description and I'm kinda rushing, so check out the info in his journal! Yay!
